Grezzo Fountain

While on holiday in Grezzo in northern Italy this summer I completed an edit of the footage of the natural spring fountain that I had shot last year. Titled “Fountain“, the film explores the qualities of flowing water as it passes through the fountain and drinking trough. Slow motion imagery exposes forms and movements of the water normally imperceptible to the human eye, while real-time footage anchors the fountain in the everyday, a source of drinking water for the village and travellers.

The footage was an exploration of the slow motion feature of my (then) new 4K video camera, the Sony FDR-AX700. This feature was one of the reasons I had selected this camera, and am pleased with the quality of the footage.
